From the Editor: Skin Cancer Awareness: Not Just in May

Marcia HillMay is Skin Cancer Awareness month. Many dermatology nurses around the country will partner with physicians to perform free skin cancer screenings. This is such a great opportunity, not only to screen people for skin cancer, but to also educate about the importance of daily sun protection for them and their family. Patients should be encouraged to read the information while waiting, so that they can ask appropriate questions when seen by the health care professional.
